Father of the late Ebony Reigns, Nana Opoku Kwarteng, popularly known as Starboy Kwarteng has disclosed that he is yet to receive some 20 unreleased songs from CEO of Rufftown Records, Bullet.

He revealed this on Sammy Flex’s Showbiz Agenda radio show on Zylofon Fm earlier today.

Starboy Kwarteng put on record that not even a single song has been given to him from his daughter’s former management despite the fact that he requested for them. “I am on radio and I am choosing my words well. Not even a single song has been given to me”he noted .

Reigning VGMA artiste of the year, Ebony Reigns lost her life in a gory accident sometime last year and ever since her burial, her father has been in the news for many reasons.

As monitored by ghlinks.com.gh on Zylofon fm today, Starboy Kwarteng also disclosed that he has been collecting songs his late daughter recorded with other producers which were unreleased before her death. In all, he has 12 songs currently.  “Be your driver” is one of such songs and was recorded by Tom Beats. Asked how he got to know of his daughter’s songs, he said “Ebony the wonder child was amazing. She was doing her thing whiles busy over there and even before she met Bullet, she had some songs too”.

Asked how he was going to receive the records of her late daughter, he said he was in talks with authorities involved in the music industry and will ensure that the right channels are used to get Bullet to hand over her late daughter’s records to him.

Nana Opoku Kwarteng also disclosed that soon, he would launch a record label in honour of his late daughter. He added that the label would be called Kwarteng-Bony Records. He went further to say that he would be putting all of his daughter’s works under the record label and would be releasing songs on her behalf. He told Sammy Flex that he was ready to learn from stakeholders in the entertainment industry so as to make his dream of idolizing his daughter become a reality. “Ebony needs to live on just like Martin Luther King”, he said.

Asked whether he was going to do more to keep his daughter’s legacy intact, he said he was soon going to launch the Ebony Reigns Memorial Foundation. He noted that the foundation would be giving back to society, a virtue his daughter believed in so much. He admitted that it wasn’t going to be easy since for the first few months, they would have to fund the foundation with their own money.

He concluded that he has speaking to authorities at the Korle-Bu teaching hospital requesting for a ward to be named after his late daughter at the accident ward. “The ward is very important because she died of an accident. With the Ebony Memorial Ward, we will see what we can do to help cases of accidents”.
