Managing Editor of the Insight Newspaper, Mr. Kwesi Pratt has made a bold statement about the election petition proceedings at the Supreme Court.
In what can be described as a disappointment, he fumed over the decision by the Court to protect Jean Mensah from being interrogated by Tsatsu Tsikata.
Speaking in an interview on Good Morning Ghana show hosted by Dr. Randy Abbey, the outspoken Journalist shared his expectations about the petition.
According to him, he was expecting to know how many times a result can be declared and also for the Supreme Court to settle questions on the validity of the documents which formed the basis of declaration.
“I will be very disappointed if at the end of the day the decision of the Supreme court is just about numbers and not the law. I am wondering how come that the Supreme Court decides that some public documents held by the public officials cannot be disclosed in open court.”
“I am extremely disappointed; How can the Supreme Court do that? How can SC decide that certain public officials can be shielded from disclosing an information that they only have about a public occurrence.”
