Hosting CAF Awards Opened Doors For Me- Juliet Ibrahim

Hosting CAF Awards Gave Me Opportunities - Juliet Ibrahim

Actress, producer and social entrepreneur Juliet Ibrahim has opened up on how successful her career has been so far despite the ailing nature of the Ghanaian movie industry by insisting that she had great opportunities come her way after she had the opportunity to host a CAF awards organised by telecommunication giants, Glo.

The actress who was speaking to Abeiku Santana of Okay Fm’s drive time show all the way from Nigeria on Tuesday said she had more calls from people and organisers showing how impressed they were and how they will love to work with her. “I believe that from the moment I got the opportunity to do the CAF Awards that I hosted for Glo,  it opened great doors for me”.

Juliet Ibrahim lately spends most of her time traveling around the world and also in Nigeria where she hosts fashion shows and events and features in movies produced in Nigeria.

As monitored by ghlinks.com.gh, the beautiful actress attributed her success to God saying her hard work coupled with God’s favour has pushed her that far. “It is God. If you are doing something right, you get referrals. So if someone checks you out on social media and you are good at what you do,  they contact you”.

Responding to a question from Abeiku Santana on why the Ghana movie industry is in a rather ailing state as compared to the Nigerian movie industry,  Juliet stated that the population of Nigeria alone gives them high patronage, unlike Ghana where the population is very small. “You cannot compare the two countries.

Nigeria has a lot of population, so the demand for movies is there. It’s always going to be there. Nollywood is the third largest movie industry in the world.

She added that ,for the Ghanaian movie industry to get to those heights,  they will need a lot of support from the government. “We really need the support of Ghana to make the Gallywood industry to come back to what it was or even better. Nigeria has the support of government and the corporate world. “

Juliet Ibrahim will be celebrating her birthday on the 3rd of March and is organizing a birthday hangout with her fans and colleagues in Pretoria, South Africa where they will stay for 7 days and 6 nights having all the fan packed activities together.

Briefing Abeiku Santana and listeners of Okay FM on the upcoming tour to South Africa she said she wants to hang out with her fans and colleagues from the Movie industry together on her birthday, the reason behind the trip to South Africa. “I wanted to do something on my birthday so that everybody can have the opportunity to come and explore with me at South Africa. So I did an opening invitation. Some of my colleagues in the industry from Ghana and Nigeria like Sister Debby,  Sonia Ibrahim Beverly Osu and a whole lot will be together with me at the Maslow International Hotel in Time Square Pretoria.”

She asked her fans and all others interested to contact Kaya tours Pacific tours Gh and Doska tours for cheaper packages and assured she is working on getting more of her colleagues to tag along with her.
