Vice President H.E Alhaji Dr. Mahmudu Bawumia lost his mother this morning, Hajia Mariama Bawumia.
Hajia Mariama Bawumia, popularly known as Maame, has been ill and hospitalized over the past few weeks.
News of the passing of the Vice President’s mother was shared by Asaase Radio on its Facebook page, September 13, 2021.
“Vice President H.E Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has this morning lost his mum. She had been unwell and hospitalized over the past few weeks. May Allah admit her to Jannah Inalillahi wa ina ilaihi raji’un,” the radio station posted on the Facebook page.
According to a brief statement signed by Dr Bawumia, burial of his mum will take place in Walewale in the North-East Region on Tuesday, September 14.
