‘Storage Wars’ star Gunter Nezhoda has died aged 67 from complications from lung cancer just six months afterhe was diagnosed.

Nezhoda died in his sleep in Salt Lake City on Tuesday night with his youngest son Ricky by his side, his elder son and fellow ‘Storage Wars’ star Rene Nezhoda told TMZ.

Rene said Nezhoda had been diagnosed with lung cancer in September after smoking for 30 years – but the chemotherapy treatment left holes on his lungs.

Nezhoda flew to Utah for an emergency surgery to treat his lungs, but medics said there was nothing more they could do for him, Rene said.

It appears Gunter kept his personal life private as it has not been confirmed whether he is married.

How many children did Gunter Nezhoda have?

Gunter leaves behind two sons, Rene and Ricky Nezhoda.

Rene starred alongside his father on Storage Wars and is the owner of Bargain Hunters thrift store.

Not much is known about his brother Ricky, who was with Gunter in his final moments.
