The gospel music scene in Ghana is about to witness a great impact as one of the fast rising Gospel artiste ,Leonard Niipapoe is set to release his debut single titled Oluwa.
Born on 2nd April 1987, Leonard Nii Papoe Allotey, is a thirty-one (31) year old Gospel artist, songwriter and prophet, who is ready to take over the Gospel Music scene.
Leonard is the first of five children. He had his J.S.S education at Aggrey Road School, located in Tema Community 2, then attended Team Technical Institute, as well as Mericom Professional Institute.
He had his Bible school training at Anakazo Bible School, Mampong and Heart Bible School, Florida. He’s currently the head of Heart Bible School, Ghana.
Leonard in an exclusive interview with ghlinks.com.gh revealed what inspired him to write “Oluwa”, stating that he has two sources of inspiration; the first being that, “The Holy Spirit inspires me at dawn; I know God will speak to me at night so I don’t sleep.”
He proceeded to disclose one similar situation where he dream’t that he was singing and woke up, realizing that he remembered the song from the dream and could sing it. That is how, according to the singer, almost all his songs come to him.
Another source of inspiration for this Artist is where he’d usually sing a Gospel song he truly loves, whiles singing and feeling the song’s anointing, it eventually turns into another song, which he writes. He also said that when some instruments are played, he gets inspired.
As the founder of a non-denominational Bible class – Word Community Christian Fellowship, the budding musician aspires to contribute to Christians’ lives by writing songs that will inspire people, and convert non-believers.
Word Community Christian Fellowship, under the leadership of Leonard Allotey, currently has a population of about forty (40) people. This non-denominational bible class is one for prayer, as well as outreaches to villages and hospitals.
Through this Fellowship, he has been able to train people to do the work of God. After being part of the Fellowship, some of these people go on to assist churches whiles others become Ministers of God, as well as occupy needed Christian Religious roles. These religious commitments have not been limited to Ghana. The upcoming gospel musician has spread his wings, as well as the word of God to Countries like: South Africa, Nigeria, Kenya and Côte d’Ivoire.

When Leonard is away from his Fellowship or the music studio, where all his musical magic happens, he focuses on his small scale business; “Be Gorgeous Fashion”, in Tema. He stocks perfumes, unisex clothing and other related stock.
The budding musician aspires to dominate the Ghana Music Industry with his genre of music. He also aspires to own a record label to train and mentor upcoming artists and hopes to put Ghana on the map when he attains International success.
