The Hamilton County Coroner’s Office has identified the man who pulled from the Great Miami River in Colerain Township.
According to the coroner’s sheet, Gopal Pradhan, 49, of Cincinnati, drowned on Sunday, June 23.
Officials say Pradham was fishing and was recognized of having disappeared around 5 p.m.
A dive team later collected his body.
“They were efficient, they did the job. They got the drones out, they got the divers out, and we were able to find out an answer for the family in a decent amount of time,” said Jim Love of the Colerain Police Department.
Colerain police say that it is important to stay aware when near bodies of water and that if you are unsure of how deep a body of water is to not take the risk of swimming in it.
