Biography
Gladson Awako is a Ghanaian footballer and currently the Captain of Accra Great Olympics.
The former U-20 star has been one of the stand-out players for the season so far having bagged two man of the match awards this season and has propelled Great Olympics to third on the league standing.
He recently won the Premier League NASCO Player of the Month for December 2020.
His outstanding form in the six matches under review (November –December) saw him score four goals with three assists.
He revealed his love and affection for Hearts of Oak since infancy but confessed if a deal comes from their arc rivals Kotoko, he won’t hesitate to join them.

Career
Gladson Awako rose to fame in 2009 when he played a vital role in the Black Satellites winning both the African Youth Championship (AYC) and FIFA U-20 World Cup in Egypt.
Awako began his career with Berekum Arsenal in July 2012.
He ended up playing most of his football in DR Congo when he joined African giants TP Mazembe.
He is currently back home playing for Accra Great Olympics after a one year stint with American side Phoenix Rising FC.

Awako has won the NASCO Man of the Match award four times within the period.
For December 2020 player of the year, he beat off competition from Techiman Eleven Wonders’ Salifu Ibrahim, Augustine Boakye from WAFA, and Benjamin Tweneboah from Elmina Sharks.
For his award, Gladson Awako will receive NASCO Television and a personalized trophy from the award sponsors, Electroland Ghana Limited(NASCO).
