Media personality and actress Efia Odo has asked government to provide citizens with free and constant electricity.
Her request follows directive by the President suspending all public gatherings in schools, churches and all public places.
“All public gatherings including conferences, workshops, funerals, festivals, political rallies, sporting events and religious activities, such as services in churches and mosques, have been suspended for the next four weeks”, the President said on Sunday March 15.
Commenting on President Akufo-Addo’s directive on Twitter, Efia Odo demanded that electricity should be made free to enable Ghanaians stay at home.
”At this point, all lights and utilities should be free! It’s not our fault this virus is in Ghana. Causing us to even be sacred to go on about our business. Staying home means more consumption of electricity! Mr President, please give us free”, she asked.
Efia Odo who relocated from the U.S to Ghana also expressed her frustration in staying home with frequent power cuts from the Electricity Company of Ghana .
“So at this serious times, they’ve turned off the lights. Chaley me sef I kno no why I lef America” she wrote.
