A University of Mississippi freshman, Gianna ‘Gigi’ Solimine, has been mourned by her sorority sisters in Alpha Chi Omega following her tragic death.
Gigi’s death was announced by the sorority in a statement in which they celebrated the impact she’d made on them in her short time as a sister.
“It is with deep sorrow that we mourn the passing of our sister, Gigi Solimine (Lambda Pi, University of Mississippi). Gigi was a freshman who joined Alpha Chi Omega this past fall. In her short time with us, she brought immense joy to our sisterhood,” the post read.
The Alpha Chi Omega sorority remembered Gigi for being vibrant, kind and pure in heart.
“The world was a better place with you in it, and we miss you dearly… Our hearts, thoughts and prayers are with Gigi’s close friends and family during this difficult time,”

Gigi joined the University of Mississippi in Fall 24′.
It’s unclear what caused the death of the freshman, as no other communication on her passing her been made public.
