Accra Hearts of Oak recovered from the heartbreaking defeat in the super 2 clash last week , to record a brilliant away win against Dreams FC in Dawu.
The home side themselves were on the back of a poor defeat away at Elmina Sharks last time out and were determined to get back to winning ways. It wasn’t to be for them.
Hearts made their intentions well known as early as the 14th minute as Joseph Esso saw his free kick come off the post.
That set the tone for the game as Hearts controlled the best part of the half. Daniel afriyie came close again for Hearts as saw his header go wide off the post.
Dreams FC’s closest effort in that half came from an Emmanuel Ocran shot that was saved calmly by Richard Attah in post for Hearts.
Hearts however got the opener in the 54th minute after some brilliant build up play from Fred Ansah Botchway and Emmanuel Nettey sent Kofi Kordzi through. The bulky striker did so well to turn and shoot past Daniel Sarkodie in post for Dreams.
That was Kordzi’s 3rd goal of the season, more than any other Hearts player.
Apart from an Issah Abass effort rhar came off the cross bar, Hearts had very little trouble as they kept Dreams afar to make it 2 away wins in as many games.
Elsewhere, Liberty failed to hold on to a lead once more as Kotoko equalised late through debutant William Opoku Mensah to win a point for the porcupine warriors. It was Kotoko’s second game out of their three game stadium ban.
