GHPL Review: Legon Cities drop points at home to Olympics in Valentines’ Day Special

Legon Cities Football Club have failed to win consecutive home games after the club dropped points at home to Accra Great Olympics in the Valentine’s Day special.

Friday 14th February presented GHPL and Legon Cities fans a Valentine’s Day Special as the Accra based side welcomed Olympics to the Accra Sports Stadium.

The stylish side, who have been praised many at times for their off the field antics more than what they do on it. And for all the love they couldn’t shoe their fans on the pitch, A half time performance by Ghanaian artiste Wendy Shay should compensate a bit.

They started the game the better side, taking it to Olympics while creating lots of chances with star man Abdul Karim Jabila in the thick of affairs.

Halfway through the first half, they got the opener as Yakubu Mohammed capitalised on some poor defending to give the home side the opener.

The game should have been way beyond Olympics as Legon Cities built on that very well and created lots more.

However, their inability to convert meant there was always a way back for the Agosue boys.

Olympics got the equaliser after former Ghana U17 international Nuhu Sulley finished well past veteran goalkeeper Fatau Dauda to grab a point for Accra Great Olympics.

Earlier in the day, Techiman XI Wonders came back from a goal down to beat King Faisal 2:1 at the Ohene Ameyaw park in Techiman.
