Medeama SC added to the woes of Accra Hearts of Oak after they totally dominated the phobians in well deserved 3-0 win at the Akoon park in Tarkwa.

Hearts of oak made the trip to Medeama to seek answers after their embarassing Matchday 1 home defeat at the hands of Berekum Chelsea. It’s safe to say, they got more than answers, they were hit with hard truths.

Truths that many of the club officials, management and fans have been running away from. They are simply not good enough.

It has been a very busy week at Hearts with Coach Kim Grant losing his job after defeat to Berekum Chelsea and then Coach Edward Odoom promoted to take over the first team.

With a trip to Tarkwa a ground Hearts have struggled to maintain a good record at looming, Hearts could not have been in a worse state both mentally and form-wise.

Coach Odoom made 5 changes to the side that lost to Chelsea a week ago. Agyare, Dankyi, Umar Manaf, Michelle Sarpong and Kofi Kordzi were given starting berths.

Medeama however started the game the better side, taking the lead as early as the second minute from a Prince Opoku Agyeman penalty.

The goal stunned Hearts and almost threw every game plan they had out of the window as the tarkwa based club continued to dominate for the first 20 minutes.

Prince Opoku Agyeman has been labelled as one player to watch out for in this league campaign and he proved that yet again with a good effort to double the homeside’s advantage after just 30 minutes.

Medeama then added a third in the 73rd minute through substitute Nana Kwesi Babel to put the cherry on the cake and add to phobian misery.

The win sends them top of the league with 6 points and a superior goal record. For hearts, the inquest into the poor start to the season continues as they await their first goal and point of the season.

Elsewehere, Ashantigold pipped King Faisal 1-0 in the derby while Dreams FC secured a very important win away at Techiman vs Eleven Wonders.

On Friday night, A second half brace from Emmanuel Gyamfi saw Kotoko come back from a goal down to beat Legon Cities 3-1 at the Accra Sports stadium.

Here are the results in full:
