Ghana has officially entered the global card-gaming space with the launch of its first locally created card games. The colourful unveiling ceremony took place in Dzorwulu, Accra, on Friday, November 28, 2025 marking a major milestone in the country’s creative and entertainment industry.

AB Card Games is the company behind this historic achievement, proudly announcing both its brand and its debut product, Say Something

AB Card Games announced not just one, but a collection of their first-ever products under the Say Something series. The editions include:

  • Say Something: Spicy Edition
  • Say Something: Global Edition
  • Say Something: Ghana Edition
  • Say Something: Complete Edition

The brand’s guiding idea is simple and powerful:Every card starts a conversation.

Guests at the launch were treated to a lively evening of music, dancing, photoshoots, networking, games, and flavorful cocktails.

Co-founders Evans Fiifi Aboah Odoi and Lawyer Fredericka Amfo Boakye-Duah shared the story behind their initiative. Long-time lovers of card games, they explained that they created Say Something because many of the card games on the market feel foreign and culturally disconnected from the Ghanaian experience.

As they enjoyed game nights with family and friends, they realized something was missing: the games didn’t sound like us, they didn’t feel like us.

That insight became the motivation to design and print Ghana’s first homegrown card games, made entirely in Ghana.

At its core, AB Card Games embodies one mission:To make relatable games that bring people back to each other.

Beyond entertainment, AB Card Games also contributes meaningfully to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):

  1. Supporting SDG 3 — Good Health and Well-being:
The games help reduce stress, loneliness, and screen fatigue by encouraging human interaction.
  2. Supporting SDG 4 — Quality Education:
The cards enhance communication skills, vocabulary, logical reasoning, and cultural awareness.
  3. Supporting SDG 12 — Responsible Consumption and Production:
AB Card Games are high-quality, durable, and reusable, promoting sustainable use of materials.
  4. Supporting SDG 17 — Partnerships for the Goals:
What began as a simple game-night idea has evolved into collaborations with both public and private institutions.

AB Card Games aims to be more than a source of fun. The founders envision their products as tools for connection, learning, mental well-being, and community-building.

With a bold vision to become Africa’s leading card game brand, AB Card Games is committed to celebrating culture, creativity, and connection through play.

Their mission is to design and produce engaging, affordable, and relatable card games inspired by Ghanaian and global experiences that encourage bonding, storytelling, and authentic human connection.
