Indeed, times change as Michael Essien is now worried about the fact that Ghanaians have reduced him to nothingness because he’s no more an integral member of the senior Men’s national team, Black Stars.

Speaking to GH One television in an interview, Essien indicated that he does not believe Ghanaians have any love left for him because he no more plays for Black Stars.

“I am not very much important to Ghanaians now. I’m not playing for the Black Stars anymore so I know that Ghanaians don’t love me any more,” Essien revealed.

As a sign of consolation, the host of the show, Serwaa Emihere reminded him of the fact that he is a great player and Ghanaians adore him for his spectacular role he played for the black stars, therefore, he shouldn’t worry a lot.
