As they continue their preparation to the AFCON 2019, the Black Stars played in their final warm up game against the Bafana Bafana of South Africa.
The game against South Africa ended 0-0 as Ghana go into the 2019 AFCON not scoring a goal in two games and without a win.
The Black Stars began the game the brightest of the two sides and had the early openings.
The Black Stars put up a strong starting 11, with what looked likely to be the starting 11 to be used against Benin in our tournament opener next week.
Kwadwo Asamoah, Andre Ayew and Thomas Partey all started the game for the Stars as they drew blanks.
The first half ended with the Black Stars having the better chances but to no effect.
Kwadwo Asamoah was the shining star for the stars throughout the game. The Inter Milan midfielder gave a good account of himself and was a shining light in a day that the result wasn’t a positive one.
Late in the game, general captain Asamoah Gyan came close to securing the win as his header hit the post.
The Black Stars now round up their preparation and will move to Egypt for the tournament. They are drawn in group E with Cameroon, Benin and Guinea Bissau.
