Francis Asenso-Boakye holds a B.Sc. degree in Development Planning from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.

He has a Master’s Degree in Public Policy and Administration degree from Michigan State University, and a Certificate in Public Sector Management from Tulane University, Louisiana, USA.

The former student activist and the founding president of the Tertiary Students Confederacy of the NPP (TESCON) has, since those days, acquired a wealth of experience in the corporate world as a development planning, project management, and policy specialist.

He is a development planning, project management, and policy specialist, with over 15 years of wide-ranging professional experience in his field, and has worked at the Ministry of Employment and Social Welfare, Global Media Alliance, Delta Acquisitions, USA, and the Ghana Free Zones Board, amongst others. Francis Asenso-Boakye has been Political Assistant to the President-Elect since 2008.

Asenso-Boakye has over 15 years of wide-ranging experience in his field. Prior to joining the staff and campaign of Nana Akufo-Add0, he held positions at the Ministry of Employment and Social Welfare (MESW), Global Media Alliance (GMA), Delta Acquisition and Development, Delaware, USA, Michigan House of Representatives, Michigan, USA, Ghana Free Zone Board (GFZB) and Ghana Investment and Promotion Center (GIPC)

Asenso-Boakye also previously worked as a planning officer at GFZB where, as project manager for the Tema Export Processing Zone (TEPZ), he managed a $50 million World Bank finance-project for the provision of off-site infrastructure at the TPEZ, including a road network, water storage, drainage, and sewage system.

He is passionate about eliminating child labour in the cocoa sector
