32-year-old Filippo Claudio Giuseppe Ferlazzo, has been remanded in prison for beating a 39-year-old Nigerian migrant to death in Italy.

Gh Links had reported how Alika was beaten to death by an Italian man on the streets of Civitanova Marche city located in the Province of Macerata, Marche Region of Italy.

Now details for the attack has finally been revealed.

Reason for the attack

Alika Ogorchukwu, 39, was beaten to death in broad daylight after he reportedly called his attacker’s girlfriend “beautiful” in a bid to get a sale.

Mr Ogochukwu grabbed a woman’s arm on the main road in beach town Civitanova Marche in an effort to make a sale.

Alika reportedly said: “Bella, can you buy some handkerchiefs or give me one euro.”

The woman’s partner, Filippo Claudio Giuseppe Ferlazzo, hit him with a crutch and then strangled him for about four minutes.

Police investigator Matteo Luconi told a press conference: “The aggressor went after the victim, first hitting him with a crutch. He made him fall to the ground, then he finished, causing the death, striking repeatedly with his bare hands”.

Filippo Claudio Giuseppe Ferlazzo has apologised to the victim’s family and asked about his girlfriend, ANSA reports.

He claimed the reason he attacked the man was that his girlfriend “got annoyed” and said Alika was very persistent, asking for change and even grabbing the woman’s arm.

He said: “I don’t know how this happened to me”.
