Kumasi Asante Kotoko captain ,Felix Annan, has signed a new contract that keeps him at the club till 2023.
Felix Annan, who has grown in the last three years to be a peripheral figure for the porcupine warriors made the decision after months of negotiation with the club.
The 29 year old, who has also been capped once by the senior national team, has represented the nation in the last major tournament and has undoubtedly marked his territory in the local game.
Speaking on the deal, Annan said;
“I am delighted to have signed an extension to my contract with the club. My heart belongs here and so it was not a difficult decision choosing to extend my stay.
“I am the captain of the club and so has a mission which I have not accomplished. I neither wished to leave the club nor made any exorbitant demands. I am happy here wants to remain here to accomplish the mission that I have set for myself.”
This deal ends a saga that was beginning to brew up between player and club, which would have been bad news or unneeded attention for a club that is aiming to take back their place as the best club in the country.
Kotoko began their 2019/2020 league campaign with a 1-0 win at home to Techiman Eleven Wonders.
