Engineer and Business Guru, Ibrahim Mahama’s reported takeover of Techiman XI Wonders

Popular Engineer and Business man, Ibrahim Mahama is reported to have purchased the Techiman club ahead of the new football season.

According to Kumasi based Fox Sports, Ibrahim Mahama completed the $400,000 takeover of the club and is going to be the new owner ahead of the 2019/2020 Ghana Premier League season.

Ibrahim Mahama, who is the younger brother of former Ghanaian president, John Dramani Mahama is an astute businessman who has been working on several government projects.

The 48 year old is the founder and owner of Engineers and Planners, a popular Engineering company in Ghana, in charge of several top government projects in the last 15 years.

Aside Engineers and planners,Mahama has also invested in Asutsuare Poultry Farms, which was started in 2004 and produces 150,000 eggs and 10,000 live broilers a day

Mahama is also an investor at Dzata Cement company, a fully Ghanaian-owned cement processing factory located in Tema.

Mr. Mahama received the 2018 African Achievers’ Award in London, for African Industrialist of the year 2018 – during the 8th edition African Achievers awards

His net worth is estimated to be around $1.9m and is projected to be amongst the top 5 richest Ghanaians.

He follows in the footsteps of Dr. Papa Kwesi Ndoum, owner of Elmina sharks and several other prominent businessmen/politicians to invest into football.
