Zylofon Arts Club signee, Efe Keys has disclosed how much she charges as an artiste before she performs, saying for now she charges a minimum of Ghs1,500.
The juju hit maker disclosed this to Sammy Flex in an exclusive interview on Zylofon Fm’s Showbiz agenda .
As a signee on Zylofon Arts Club, the young singer has few songs to her credit, popular among them being juju. She recently embarked on a club tour which according to her, had so much support than she expected, especially from ladies. “Initially, people were discouraging me but I was surprised the support I got from females. I realized the love is deep”.
Touching on whether she played for free, she disclosed that she has stopped and is now charging as an artist. She again said she was no longer an underground artiste and should not be recognized as such. “I am not an underground artiste. I have arrived”.
Asked what scares her in life at her stage, she opened up to say she was scared of not making money as artist in the music industry. She went further to say that most people have the wrong perception of celebrities, thinking the entertainment industry is so lucrative when in actual fact it really isn’t . “I have realised that when you’re underground, you see the gorgeous lifestyle of celebrities and think it’s so cool but it’s different when you are on board.
Efe Keys touched on how she pushes her music, disclosing that she takes it upon herself to approach DJ’s with her works. She said she works harder than she should and that’s how come she is excelling as a signee from the Zylofon Arts Club.
She again stated that most people wanted sexual favors before helping her – not only DJ’s but other people in the entertainment industry- but she knows how to handle such issues before they blow out of proportion. “I have grown to know how to handle these situations so it doesn’t go soar”.
Responding to Sammy Flex’s question on who she dreams of having a song with in the near future, she said she loves Chris Brown and would want to have a song with the RnB star. “I love Chris Brown. I was just 12 years old when I heard his song. He was 16 at that time. I love his artistry.”
In a rather controversial response to whether she has ever had a wardrobe malfunctioning in her young music career, Efe Keys disclosed that she had a wardrobe malfunctioning at the GOWA AWARDS held at the Alisa Hotel in December last year. She said her pantie showed while she was unaware and had to immediately do something about it. She added that a female fan at the program drew her attention to the incident. “I suffered a malfunction at the GOWA AWARDS in December. My pantie was showing while I was performing. The females in the crowd saw it and made me realize it with their weird responses. A lady drew my attention to it and I corrected it immediately”.
