DeAngelo Phillip Jackson, a 19-year-old man, has been reported missing after he was last seen swimming near Surfside Beach, Texas.
According to Texas EquuSearch, a search and rescue organization, Jackson, who is from Navasota, Texas, was described as being 6 feet 3 inches tall and was wearing black shorts with an orange stripe around the waistband and no shirt.
The search for Jackson has been intensified with the U.S. Coast Guard joining the search with boat crews and a helicopter, in addition to the Surfside Police Department.
The search has been ongoing since Jackson was reported missing, with search teams combing the area both on land and in the water.
The circumstances leading up to Jackson’s disappearance are not entirely clear, but according to reports, he was reportedly swept away by a wave while swimming.
The Coast Guard and the Surfside Police Department are continuing their search efforts to find Jackson and bring him back to safety.
