Ghana Youth International David Addy has won the 2019 Finnish Cup with Ilves after a 2-0 emphatic thrashing of IFK Mariehamn.

The former U-20 utility defender played the entire 90 minutes as his side IIves Tampers tamed Mariehamn 2-0 in the domestic cup finale at the Wirklof Holding Arena to lift the ultimate trophy.

IIves Matias Ojala opened the scoring from a spot kick in the 33rd minutes before the workaholic Tatu Miettus doubled the lead on the stroke of half time.

The seasoned old left back was part of Ghana U-20 team that won the FIFA U-20 world cup in Egypt.

Series of injuries plaqued his promising career that saw him playing for the likes FC Porto and Victoria Guimeras in Portuguese Liga.

Addy was part of the team that won the 2009 FIFA U20 World Cup in Egypt under the leadership of Sellas Tetteh.

He was joined by former Inter Allies Center back in Baba Mensah as he continues to resurrect his career with some top class performance.
