Popular Kumawood actor,Yaw Dabo has named Hearts of Oak star Daniel Afriyie as one of the many talents he has groomed at colts level.
Yaw Dabo, who is known for his wittiness and hilarity on the entertainment scene has also been taking up Football management and names Daniel Afriyie as one of his stars.
Speaking in an interview with Accra based Angel FM, Yaw Dabo made this revelation,confirming rumors after being seen with the footballer several times on Hearts of Oak Matchdays.
“I manage many players and one of them is Hearts of Oak striker Daniel Afriyie Barnie. I grommed him from the colts level,” Yaw Dabo said on Accra-based radio station Angel FM
He also spoke about his passion for football and his time owning a colts club.
“I have passion for football more than acting. I owned a colts football club but due to financial constraints I have put everything on hold.”
He then made bold promises, insisting the future is bright for his prospects as he plans to own a football club soon.
“Very soon, I will outdoor a model football team named Yaw Dabo Football Club. I will use my own philosophy to develop the players and I promise Ghanaians, they will some wearing Black Stars jersey.”
Daniel Afriyie has been a regular for Hearta of oak in the suspended Ghana Premier League. He scored his first goal for the club in a 4-0 win over Accra Great Olympics in the Mantse Derby and has impressed a lot this season.
