At least one gunman left two people dead and a third badly injured as people left an Edgewater restaurant and bar early Saturday morning.
Chicago police found a stolen car used by the shooter burning on the Far South Side, but the offender remains at large.
The victims have been identified as Dangelo Colon (Munna Duke [O’Block]) and Younggin [O’Block].
It happened at 1:20 a.m. in the 6300 block of North Broadway. CPD offered very little information about what happened. However, witnesses said the victims were shot as people were leaving a nearby restaurant that has a late-night liquor license.
Officers found a 28-year-old man at the scene with gunshot wounds throughout his body. While CPD administered CPR to try to save the man, he was subsequently pronounced dead at St. Francis Hospital.
Two other victims arrived at hospitals in cars: a 31-year-old man shot in the left chest who died at Weiss Hospital, and a 36-year-old man who was in fair condition at Evanston Hospital with a gunshot wound to his back.
An officer familiar with the investigation said video shows the gunman used a stolen Infinity Q50, which was found burning in the 600 block of East 134th Place less than two hours after the shooting.
Officers placed a couple of dozen evidence markers at the scene, all of which appeared to be placed next to shell casings.
