Two Women Found Deceased in Lake Charles Residence

Dahlen Semar, 23, and Madison Guillory, 23

A welfare check at a Lake Charles, Louisiana residence turned into a tragic discovery for Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies on November 12.

According to a statement from the Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a possible hostage situation at a home on Topsy Road around 8:00 p.m.

However, upon arrival, they heard a gunshot and found no hostage.

The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office ACT-Team was called to the scene, and after clearing the residence, deputies discovered the bodies of two women: Dahlen Semar, 23, and Madison Guillory, 23, both from Lake Charles.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing, with detectives working to piece together the events leading up to the discovery.

Further investigation revealed that the complainant, Gabriel B. Williams, 24, of Lake Charles, provided false and misleading information to deputies.

Additionally, Williams allegedly attempted to destroy evidence in the case after contacting law enforcement.

As a result, he was arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center on charges of obstruction of justice and failure to report certain felonies. His bond is pending.

Sheriff Stitch Guillory emphasized that the investigation is ongoing and that the Sheriff’s Office is working to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. “We believe this is an isolated incident,” Guillory stated. “I want to take this time to remind everyone in our community that help is available for those who may be experiencing hard times. If you or someone you know is struggling, please reach out for support.”

Guillory encouraged those in need to contact the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline by texting or calling 988.

The coroner will determine the cause of death for both women. Detective Alex Zaunbrecher is leading the investigation.

An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
