Sarkodie’s mom congratulates her son after winning BET Hip-hop awards
One trending news in the country as far as entertainment is concerned is Rapper Michael Owusu Addo known by stage name Sarkodie and his historic win of the BET Hip Hop Award for Best International Flow.
The rapper beat colleague rappers falz the Bad Guy (Nigeria), Ghetts and Little Simiz (United Kingdom), Kalash (France), Nasty C (South Africa), and Tony Lanez (Canada) to win the award.
He also becomes the first African to win the newly created category of the awards held in Atlanta, USA over the weekend and has earned an award more to add to his bragging rights of being the most decorated African rapper in history.
Goodwill messages from Ghanaian celebrities have been pouring in since he picked the award, notable amongst them are his wife Tracey Sarkcess, Nana Aba Anamoah, Stonebwoy and a host of many others.
A touching one however is the one that came from his mama, Madam Emma Maame-Aggrey known as Mama Sark. The proud mother evidently stayed up all night to monitor the awards and wait till his son picked the award.
Sarkodie who took to twitter to share the sweet message his mother sent to him with the caption ‘Mama’ couldn’t have asked for anything more.
In her message, she congratulated her son and expressed how proud she is of her son. She added that she knew he would win.
