Christopher Nakai Nettey finally speaks out on Allotey ban

Kotoko defender Christopher Nakai Nettey has given his take on the ban issued to his friend Patrick Allotey by the Ghana Boxing Association.

Christopher Nakai Nettey, who spoke to the media after Kotoko’s away win at Dreams FC expressed his regrets on how things turned out after his friend, boxer Patrick Allotey was banned by the GBA.

Speaking to the media, Christopher Nettey confirmed the story of Allotey saying it is true he is his friend and that he was at the stadium to support him that day.

It would be remembered that Boxer Patrick Allotey was caught on camera assaulting a man ,who was later confirmed to be Michael Siaw , during the Super 2 clash between Hearts of Oak and Kumasi Asante Kotoko at the Accra Sports Stadium 2 weeks ago.

Patrick Allotey later claimed he was provoked and the main reason of his presence at the stadium was to support his friend, Christopher Nakai Nettey.

Nettey has confirmed his part of the story. Nettey has since been a prominent feature for Kotoko at right back this season, helping Kotoko to rack up 17 points and take them to joint top of the Ghana Premier League.

Allotey has since gone on a media tour to apologise for his actions while pleading with the Ghana Boxing Authority to reduce his ban.
