CHICAGO — A woman and man were killed and another man was injured in a shooting early Saturday on the city’s Near West Side.
The shooting happened around 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, along the 2300 block of West Roosevelt Road, near the Tri-Taylor neighborhood, according to Chicago Police.
Authorities say a 23-year-old woman, identified by friends as Dennishiana, also known as “China Brielle,” and a man named Malik, were both shot multiple times. Emergency responders rushed them to the hospital, but sadly, they did not survive.
A third victim, a 25-year-old man, was shot in the ankle. He managed to transport himself to a hospital, where he is now in stable condition.
Police say the suspects fled the scene in an SUV. No arrests have been made so far, and investigations are ongoing.
