Police are searching for a man after an East Texas woman was found shot to death inside an apartment.
On Monday around 3 p.m., police responded to reports of a homicide at an apartment complex located at 9999 Bellwood Lake Rd.
The Tyler Police Department says a woman, identified as Cheyenne Russell, 26, of Nacogdoches, was found dead in the apartment with multiple gunshot wounds.
The suspect in this case has been identified as Jorian Jackson, 29, of Plano. He is currently on the loose and is considered armed and dangerous.
A murder warrant has been issued for Jackson with a $1 million bond attached.
Russell was the mother of two young children, and Jackson was the father of one of the kids.
Police say the children are now safe with other family members. The Texas Fugitive Task Force and local agencies, including the Texas Department of Public Safety, are actively searching for Jackson.
