CCTV grabs ‘Seminar Participant’ Who Made Away With GH¢30k

Criminals in recent times have their devised a different strategy of outwitting their victims and succeed in robbing them of several thousands of Ghana cedis and other valuables.

In what appears to be the latest modus operandi of these criminals, they pose as participants of very important seminars at popular venues especially top class hotels and when the focus is on what may be going on, they bolt with bags of the real participants.

A case in point can confirm, happened in the Volta Region of Ghana Annual Seminar of Land Surveyors according to one Gustav Kplom Asamoah who narrated his ordeal.

A young man who has been unmasked thanks to footages of Closed-circuit television (CCTV) was seen leaving Skyplus Hotel in Ho on Thursday, September 6, 2018 with a stolen bag said to be containing an amount of GH¢30,000.

The amount it has also been established was meant to pay for services rendered to the participants by the hotel and others.

The unnamed thief who all this while had presented himself as a participant briefly took part in the event gauging which bag was his target and when the opportune time presented itself he fled with it.
