Lynchburg Police said a man is in custody Monday evening following the shooting death of a 19-year-old in Lynchburg.

Police said they also found the body of a woman when they conducted a welfare check on the suspect’s home.

The incident happened around 3:45 p.m. Monday in the 100 block of Fairlea Court.

LPD said 19-year-old Cash Gaudio was shot and killed.33-year-old Nathaniel Lee Pridemore, of Lynchburg, has been charged in the incident.

As the investigation unfolded, Lynchburg Police said it determined a welfare check at Pridemore’s home was necessary.

When officers conducted that check in the 1400 block of Tunbridge Road, a woman was found deceased.

LPD issued the following charges against Pridemore:

  • second-degree murder
  • use of a firearm
  • felony child endangerment
  • discharge of a firearm in the city
  • discharge of a firearm into an occupied vehicle
  • reckless handling and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon

Police said the child involved in the incident is safe and will be reunited with family.

The department said there is no ongoing threat to the community.

The victims, a 34-year-old Adam Crispin and a 26-year-old Kiley Johnson, were pronounced dead at 5:56 p.m. Sunday at the scene of the crash, along Route 6 near Vincent Road in LeBoeuf Township, the Erie County Coroner's Office reported.
