Carol Ann White, a 39 year old Lanarkshire teacher who molested two schoolboys aged 11 and 12 have finally been sentenced for three years.
Carol Ann White, abused both youngsters while employed at two different primary schools in two different Lanarkshire schools.
Police launched a probe after it emerged that she had been texting a 12-year-old boy during the first Covid lockdown in 2020.
They discovered the pair had exchanged 1,185 messages over just three weeks.
Sickeningly, Carol Ann White had asked the child to perform a sex act on himself over FaceTime and sent him revealing photos.
She captioned one of the snaps ‘C***block of the year goes to Covid-19′.
The lad later told detectives White had kissed him on the mouth 50 times during a school trip.
He also said she’d groped him while watching the film Titanic and forced his hand into her trousers.
The investigation led police to an even younger boy, who said White had kissed him on the mouth in a store cupboard.
The defendant, of Uddingston, Lanarkshire, had denied two charges of engaging in sexual activity with the boys spanning between August 2018 and May 2020.
But jurors took just over an hour to find her guilty following a seven-day trial.
She admitted possessing eight indecent images of her 12-year-old victim.
And today, White sobbed as she was jailed and placed on the sex offenders’ register indefinitely.
Following the sentencing hearing, the mother of the 11-year-old boy told of her relief.
“Concerns had been raised in the school about her being overly familiar with pupils but yet she was allowed to move on and target a vulnerable boy,” she said.
“The whole thing is shocking and I feel as if I’ve had no support for the last two years.”
The lad told of his horror and distress in a moving victim impact statement read aloud to the court.
He said: “She was manipulative. I thought she was a good person who would do nothing wrong, but you can’t judge a book by its cover.
