A woman has tragically lost her life following a shooting early Thursday morning in Savannah, Georgia.

The Savannah Police Department reported that officers responded to reports of gunfire in the 1400 block of Augusta Avenue.

Upon arrival, officers discovered a woman, later identified as Cantrelle Ross, lying on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds.

Emergency Medical Services were called to the scene, but despite their efforts, Ross was pronounced dead at the location.

Authorities have not yet made any arrests related to the shooting, and investigators continue to work diligently to gather evidence and identify any suspects.

Cantrelle Ross’s mother, Amanda Hayes, shared a heartfelt post on social media, accompanied by a photo, claiming, “This is the person who murdered my daughter.”

The post reflects her grief and determination to seek justice for her daughter’s tragic death.

The Savannah Police Department is urging anyone with information about this incident to come forward.
