The Body of a man has been found at the home of Egypt and Arsenal midfielder Mohammed El Nenny.
The Body was discovered by his Father, Nasser, at one of the midfielder’s homes in Egypt.
El Nenny’s father, Nasser, immediately informed the police upon discovery of the body and investigations have since began to identify the body.
Early investigations show the cause suspected to be an electrocution as the deceased was attempting to steal some electrical cables.
His father, speaking to CNN, said ;
“My son Mohamed has villa in the city of Mahalla, 123 kilometers north of Cairo, but no one lives there.”
“I was heading to the villa, to make some repairs to become the head office of a charity to serve the people of Mahalla, but I found the body of the deceased man holding the electricity wire so I called the police.”
The police have further stated that friends of the deceased have been detained for questioning in relation to the events leading to the death.
The midfielder , was informed about the issue on phone and was assured by his father that everything was alright.
Mohammed El Nenny was part of the Egyptian squad at the just ended 2019 AFCON.
He started all four games in midfield for the Pharaohs as they crashed out in the Round of 16 against South Africa as they failed to win the tournament in their own homeland.
He has since returned to London where he will be seeking to rejoin the Arsenal squad for the rest of the pre-season as he fights to be fit on time for the Gunners’ season opener in a fortnight against Newcastle.
