Berla Mundi is the Ghanaian co-host for Africa’s first-ever syndicated talk show, Moments with Mo on DSTV and has had compelling interviews with top personalities across the continent including Mrs. Samira Bawumia, wife of the Vice President of Ghana, Betty Irabor, CEO of Genevieve Magazine Nigeria, and more.
She has worked on some major platforms including the Ghana Music Awards, EMY Africa Awards, USAID Women’s Month, and Miss Malaika Ghana.
Her objective is to become a leading Media brand in and outside Africa, catering to both young and old, breaking barriers, and using her experiences to project African stories, traditions, and values. She has worked with some Global brands including WOODIN and is currently the face of Malta Guinness Ghana.
As a young professional with a First Class Degree in Linguistics and Psychology from the University of Ghana and a French Certificate from Alliance Française, the Broadcast Journalist who currently works with the EIB Network as host of Rythmz and Glitterati on Ghone Tv, and Touchdown on LiveFM, has built a formidable brand that serves as an inspiration to the younger generation, encouraging them to pursue their dreams and attain success in various fields of endeavor, recently rolling out a new project: ‘B.YOU BY BERLA MUNDI’, a mentorship and career guidance program for young girls in the country. She also runs the Berla Mundi Foundation that caters to underprivileged children. Her radio show, Touchdown on Live 91.9 FM has positioned itself as the voice for the youth and runs monthly mentorship campaigns at various tertiary institutions.

The flagship event of Ghana’s premier lifestyle brand, Glitz Africa, which was held at the plush Mövenpick Ambassador Hotel was set to celebrate individuals setting trends and defying the odds with their Fashion. Berla, who was competing with the likes of Nathaniel Attoh, K.O.D, Peace Hyde and Chantel Asante for the Most Stylish TV personality and Most Stylish Radio personality respectively, won both awards on the night.

The multiple-award nominee, Berla Mundi, emerged the winner from a list of nominees including Nana Aba Anamoah, Chantelle Asante, Sandra Ankobiah and Jessica Opare Saforo to clinch the award. Media Personality Berla Mundi has been honored by the Elizabeth Frances Sey Hall of the University of Ghana, Legon. She was presented with a citation by leaders of the Women’s Commission of the hall after she had a talk with the students. Mundi was announced as the new host of TouchDown, the station’s after-drive program in April 2016 taking over from Jeremie, who is co-host of Live Breakfast Club, the station’s morning show. Mundi is a product of the University of Ghana with a first class degree in Linguistics and Psychology.

Berla Mundi is currently the reigning Female Event MC of Ghana after winning at the maiden edition of the Ghana Event Awards. The awards event was set up to celebrate the event industry in Ghana as well as to grow the quality of events organized . Berla Mundi has for the second consecutive time won the award for the Most Stylish Media Personality in Ghana at the 2017 Glitz Style Awards which took place at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel in Accra on Saturday, August 19. Each year, personalities across various industries are awarded for their unique fashion sense and style from business executives to musicians, models, designers and media personalities. Berla being the only female to be nominated twice in this category won the award for the second consecutive time beating one time winner, KOD as well as sports journalist, Nathaniel Attoh and broadcaster, Kojo Yankson.

Media Personality Berla Mundi has earned a 2017 Africa Youth Awards 100 Most Influential Young Africans nomination. Organizers say Mundi’s “works and pursuit towards the development and image of Africa” scored her “an honourable spot on our 2nd annual list of 100 Most Influential Young Africans (2017).” Africa Youth Awards is a prestige award scheme with the prime aim of appreciating the works of young Africans in Africa and the Diaspora. Amongst the nominees are Sarkodie, Ameyaw Debrah and Shatta Wale all from Ghana.

You by Berla Mundi’ was born out of the need to foster the relationship Berla has with her female fans at the tertiary level and to offer them some life and career guidance as they journey through life. The award winning TV Personality noticed a gap between young tertiary students and their ability to reach their highest potential and decided it was time to step in and fill that gap with various mentorship sessions, internship and scholarship opportunities in order to instil in them some confidence, discipline, the spirit of entrepreneurship, and some experience ahead of their journey in the real world.
