Avoid Such Expensive Jokes – Gender Minister To Kwadwo Sheldon

Gender Minister To Kwadwo Sheldon

The Minister for gender, children and social protection, Mrs Cynthia Mamle Morrison has sent a message to Ghanaian online content developer Kwadwo Sheldon telling him to avoid expensive jokes in the wake of the COVID 19 crisis.

Her comment comes after the content developer posted a video where he had opened taps of running water and watching it overflow.

Kwadwo Sheldon posted a video where he had taps of water overflowing on him without him making an attempt to close them.

His video was meant to create humor after the president declared that citizens won’t be billed for water for three months amidst the current corona virus crisis. It does turn out that his intended motive of making a humor out of his post didn’t really sink well for a huge section of Ghanaians as they have criticized him on social media for developing such content.

The Gender Minister in a reaction to the video today at the press briefing of the current situation of battling the corona virus pandemic on Tuesday noted that she has seen such a video on social media and strongly criticized the video and its content.

According to her, the video and its content is a bad example from a grown up man and moving forward, such expensive jokes should be discouraged. She added that the water is being made free because the president is very aware of the essence of water in these critical times and very soon there will be measures put in place to track down people who deliberately waste water.
