Former President of MUSIGA who also ran for the position of the Member of Parliament for Asante Akyem South on the ticket of governing NPP but lost on Saturday, Obour has rallied his support behind the winner.
Obour has promised to support the winner to secure his seat in the December elections.
Obour lost by 68 votes to the sitting MP at the primaries of the NPP on Saturday after months of campaign and hopes. Obour managed to bag 296 votes whiles the winner, Kwaku Asante Boateng won by 364 votes.
In an interview with Adom Fm after the elections, Obour indicated his appreciation to all who voted for him even though it was his first time at national politics. He indicated that it was an experience he appreciates and blamed his loss to his inexperience in national politics. He was however hopeful that things would turn out for the best for him in subsequent times.
Obour added the bigger battle is happening on December 7th when they all unite to secure the seat in the name of the NPP and said he would do all his best to ensure he supports Kwaku Asante Boateng.
