A peaceful Thursday afternoon turned into heartbreak in Fort Wayne, Indiana, when a young woman lost her life in a shocking act of violence — and the alleged gunman was also shot dead moments later.
Police say the tragic incident happened just after 12 noon on Hamilton Avenue near Weisser Park. A man and a woman reportedly got into a heated argument, which suddenly turned deadly.
According to investigators, the woman — now identified as Anisha Jackson — tried to drive away from the scene to protect herself. But before she could get far, the man allegedly pulled out a gun and shot her multiple times, causing her car to crash into a nearby home.
In a dramatic turn, someone else on the scene pulled a gun and shot the man, ending the deadly encounter.
Both Anisha and the man were found dead when officers arrived.
