Award-winning Disk-Jockey (DJ) turned radio personality, Andrew Amoh known widely as Andy Dosty has refuted claims that he used charms (juju) to kick out KMJ from hosting Daybreak Hitz on Hitz Fm so he could take over.
According to the popular DJ, those allegations are needless and shouldn’t be regarded.
For several months now, Andy Dosty has been the name behind Daybreak Hitz, a morning show on Accra based Hitz Fm.
He took over from KMJ who at that time was hosting the program.
In an interview with Abeiku Santana on Drive Time on Okay Fm, the prolific DJ was asked the question of whether he used juju to take over from KMJ, as that was the rumour circulating in town about how he became host of the show.
Narrating what truly happened after denying the allegation, he said he was called on day around 3am to come take over the show temporarily as host after KMJ felt ill with an arm injury.
He further said he filled in the gap hoping to be the host for some few days because he gets paid by Adom Fm, a subsidiary under Multimedia Group and not Hitz Fm.
Days became weeks and he phoned KMJ to know what was going on since it was getting to December and he needed to play club gigs for money but KMJ wasn’t replying his calls or messages, adding that it was the COO of Multimedia Group that told him to continue for a few more days since KMJ needed extra days off.
He concluded that he met KMJ at the offices of Multimedia and queried him on why he has refused to communicate to him since he was the official host of Daybreak Hitz and that is when he was told that KMJ is moving to Television and he had to take over.
