Retired US astronaut Buzz Aldrin, one of the first two people to walk on the Moon in 1969, has married for a fourth time, announcing the news on his 93rd birthday.
Aldrin shared the news on Twitter, with photos of him and his bride, Anca Faur.
“On my 93rd birthday & the day I will also be honored by Living Legends of Aviation I am pleased to announce that my longtime love Dr. Anca Faur & I have tied the knot,” the NASA legend tweeted.
“We were joined in holy matrimony in a small private ceremony in Los Angeles & are as excited as eloping teenagers.”
The tweet was accompanied by two snaps from the private ceremony, which showed the new Mrs. Aldrin wearing a white gown adorned with rhinestones.

Anca Faur is a 63 year old American doctor who was born in Romania.
Currently, she works as the Executive Vice President of Buzz Aldrin Ventures LLC.
According to Anca Faur’s LinkedIn page, she has worked for the company since 2019.
At one point, she was the treasurer for the California Hydrogen Business Council.
In July 2019 she also attended the 50th Anniversary of the Apollo 11 Moon Landing with Donald Trump.
Along with that, she attends various events conducted by Space or Astronaut departments.

Who is Buzz Aldrin?
Buzz Aldrin is an American former astronaut, engineer and fighter pilot.
He made three spacewalks as pilot of the 1966 Gemini 12 mission.
He is the only surviving member of the Apollo 11 mission’s three-man crew.
While Neil Armstrong was the first astronaut to step on the lunar surface, he was followed 19 minutes later by Mr Aldrin.
The former astronaut retired from NASA in 1971 and in 1998 founded the ShareSpace Foundation, a non-profit organisation to promote the expansion of crewed space exploration.
After entering the history books, Mr Aldrin said he struggled through a dark time during which he did not know what he should be doing with his life.
He battled depression and alcoholism, but has now been sober for more than 40 years.
Buzz Aldrin has been married and divorced three times
The first marriage of New Jersey-born Aldrin — to Joan Archer when he was 24 years old in 1954 — lasted 20 years and produced three children.
He remarried in December 1975 to Beverly Van Zile before divorcing less than three years later.
But his longest marriage — from 1988 to 2012 — was to Lois Driggs Cannon, but ended with an expensive divorce settlement a decade ago.
It reportedly cost Mr Aldrin an initial payout of $US240,000 ($345,000) followed by monthly payments of $US9,500 ($13,630) and a 30 per cent share of his future income.
