Alibaba is one of the world’s best e-commerce, was founded by billionaire Jack Ma, on 4 April 1999 in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, the company provides consumer-to-consumer (C2C), business-to-consumer (B2C), and business-to-business (B2B) sales services via web portals earlier this year, Jack Ma officially stepped down as the chairman of Alibaba, Daniel Zhang succeeded him at the head of the company.
Jack Ma announced a $10 million fund for young and upcoming online businesses on the continent and Africa entrepreneurs in general.
Alibaba Executive Chairman meets with The President Of the republic of Ghana Nana Akufo-Addo during a state visit to China earlier this month.
On the President’s Facebook page, a post about the meeting stated:
“On Monday 3rd September 2018, I held a meeting with the co-founder and Executive Chairman of Alibaba Group, Jack Ma
‘In our interaction, I also urged him to consider establishing the headquarters of Alibaba’s Africa operations in Ghana.’
Alibaba Group is currently seeking partnerships with other African countries to help boost their export capacities using the Alibaba platform, and Mentor young talent.
