The President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo has directed that national flags be lowered at half mast for the next seven days as the nation mourns the passing of Ex. President Jerry John Rawlings.
This was noted in a communique to announce the unfortunate demise of the iconic statesman.
Also, the President in honour of Mr. Rawlings together with the Vice President has suspended all political campaigns.
He extended the government’s sympathies to the bereaved family while assuring that he’ll work in tandem with the family to give the lost hero a befitting state burial.
