Kennedy Agyapong has lashed out at appointees of President Akufo-Addo, accusing them of leaving footsoldiers to their fate while they employ their girlfriends and side chicks.
According to the Assin Central MP, this is a major reason why the NPP suffered to lay hold on a majority in parliament, despite their overwhelming numbers in the 2016 election.
Mr Agyapong believes that the treatment from some appointees of the President led to many footsoldiers refusing to campaign, and this led to the Party’s abysmal performance in the 2020 elections.
Kennedy Agyapong has been a lone voice in advocating for jobs for loyal party footsoldiers, whose toil and hardwork, he believes, brought and has kept the party in power.
