A 33-year-old man identified as Akeem Jenkins has been shot dead and a 32-year-old woman hurt in Camden, New Jersey.

Police were dispatched at about 8 p.m. for the reported shooting at the 2800 block of Hull Road, according to the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office (CCPO).

That’s where authorities found two victims suffering from gunshot wounds — Akeem Jenkins and a 32-year-old Camden woman.

Both of the victims were taken to a nearby hospital where Jenkins died of his injuries just after 8:30 p.m.

The woman has since been released from the hospital.

An investigation into the incident is underway.
