A woman named Adelene Wilson, 43, was fatally stabbed in her home in northwest Harris County early Friday morning, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies from the Harris County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office arrived at the scene on Kleinmeadow Drive near Bammel North Houston Road around 6 a.m.
When deputies entered the residence, they found Wilson with multiple stab wounds. Two children, ages 11 and 8, along with an adult woman, reportedly witnessed the incident.
Wilson’s husband, Charles Murray Wilson, was not present when authorities arrived.
Investigators located Charles Wilson shortly after at a nearby gas station on Spring Cypress Drive near TC Jester Boulevard. He was driving the victim’s car. Authorities detained him and transported him to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office for questioning. The case will be forwarded to the Harris County District Attorney’s Office to determine possible charges.
Deputies stated that they were awaiting a search warrant to inspect the home. Records indicate previous calls for service at the address, but details on these calls were not disclosed.
Adelene Wilson reportedly informed authorities that her husband had taken her car around 5:30 a.m., approximately 30 minutes before the stabbing incident.
The two children and the adult witness were taken to a nearby hospital for precautionary checks and later released. Investigators are speaking with them to understand the events leading up to the incident.
The sheriff’s office stated they have not yet identified a motive for the crime.
