A Titusville couple out on a motorcycle ride with another cyclist on Saturday became separated from their fellow rider at some point during the trip, authorities were told.
The two were found deceased late Sunday afternoon, at a location in LeBoeuf Township where their motorcycle had left the roadway, according to the Pennsylvania State Police.
The victims, a 34-year-old Adam Crispin and a 26-year-old Kiley Johnson, were pronounced dead at 5:56 p.m. Sunday at the scene of the crash, along Route 6 near Vincent Road in LeBoeuf Township, the Erie County Coroner’s Office reported.
The crash is believed to have happened on Saturday at about 6 p.m. According to state police, the male was driving a Harley-Davidson motorcycle west along Route 6 when he failed to negotiate a left curve in the roadway.
The motorcycle left the roadway, went over a ditch and came to rest in an area of high grass.
Both victims were thrown from the motorcycle, troopers reported.
State police were told that the couple were riding with another person and were heading to a friend’s house when they got separated.
A search was on for the couple when they were found Sunday.
