It’s no strange news how sex for roles has become a regular thing in the movie industry today. Another general perception of society about celebrities of today is the double lifestyle they live, making it difficult to believe those who come out to defend their chaste lifestyle.
The latest to join the list of chaste stars in Ghana is Kumawood actress Clara Amoateng Benson, popularly known in showbiz as Maame Serwaa. The young actress has revealed in an interview with Andy Dosty on Monday that she is a virgin.
As Monitored by ghlinks.com.gh on Accra based Hitz Fm, the actress after she had cleared the air on her relationship with co-actor Bill Asamoah and some pregnancy rumors which hit the country some time ago told Andy Dosty that she is still a virgin at age 20. “I am a virgin. I shouldn’t have said it here but yes”.
Maame Serwaa opening up on some rumors from Ghanaians which really got to her said when she first heard of how people twisted her relationship with Bill Asamoah and that she was pregnant, she felt devastated.
Touching on her relationship with Bill Asamoah, she said they just had a working relationship and that she has never dated Bill. She insisted that it’s because of some 5 continuous she played with the actor in which she was portrayed as his girlfriend. She however insisted that they have a strong working relationship and that it doesn’t go beyond that. “Bill Asamoah is like a father to me in the movie industry. I’ve learnt a lot from him”.
She added that at the moment, she doesn’t pay attention to critics because she has realized that the same people who criticize her are the same people who praise her when she does something excellent.
