Ace Ghanaian broadcaster, Maa Afia Konadu formerly with the Despite Media Group has passed on, reports say.
She is said to have died after a short ailment on May 1st in the United States of America.
She retired from radio in 2015 after she had been the host of popular mid-morning show Asomdwe Nkomo on Peace Fm.
Maa Afia Konadu started as a teacher after which she joined Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC). She was later invited by Dr. Osei Kwame Despite to work with Peace Fm, a subsidiary of the Despite Media Group where she worked for 10 years before retiring in 2015.
As sited by ghlinks.com.gh on Instagram, Utv Ghana, another subsidiary media house under the Despite Media Group took to their page to officially announce her demise. In their post, they quoted
“#ForeverInOurHearts. It is with our deepest sorrow that we inform you of the death of our beloved Maa Afia Konadu.
She died on Wednesday May 1 in the United States of America after a short ailment.
