A man is dead after a shooting early Tuesday morning in the Park Duvalle neighborhood in west Louisville.
Just past midnight, Louisville Metro police responded to a shooting in the 3500 block of Bells Lane, according to an LMPD news release.
Officers on scene found a man outside of a residence suffering from a gunshot wound. EMS pronounced him dead at the residence.
LMPD’s Homicide Unit is leading this investigation. Detectives are working to learn what led up to the shooting and what a possible motive could be.
The Jefferson County Coroner identified the man as 51-year-old Lapriest Maddox.
